For four years the Carter G. Woodson African American Museum was privileged to have Celeste Davis share her creative skills and artistic "know how” with this growing museum. She generously shared her knowledge as a curator and art installer for several exhibits. Celeste made lasting impressions with the creation of exquisite interior designs for holiday celebrations at the museum. As a part of the national recognition of jazz as an art form she organized a series of "Jazz chats" involving local musicians. The chats were well received by the community and sparked an idea that has become a tradition here at the Woodson. Celeste has moved on to other endeavors, but I am pleased to make this statement regarding the valuable contributions that she so graciously shared with our museum and the people of this community.

“When my parents began downsizing their home, I enlisted the services of Celeste Davis. Her assistance in assessing the estate and engaging all of the services needed for my parents to move to a smaller space was invaluable. Putting my family’s possessions in her capable hands took a huge burden off me. Having a qualified appraiser who walked me through this process, and who was very knowledgeable took the stress out of an otherwise daunting process.

"I very much enjoyed serving on St. Petersburg’s Arts Advisory Committee with Celeste. I found myself seeking and appreciating her counsel. I’m sure her integrity — and style — will help others in her new locale.”
